Spilled Milk

In reference to the previous post. I would also like to quickly add this video. Never in my life have i ever felt so strongly about milk.

Nick Gets Sick: Episide one

The title should explain it all. But it doesn’t. You may be thinking to yourself “Yeah, hey, some guy named Nick gets sick and makes some video of some sorts out of it. No way i want to waste 6 minutes of my life on this.” Now if you are thinking that to yourself, then climb the tallest tree you can find, and swan dive off of it. For everyone else that was thinking “Wow!? Nick gets sick! The first installment to an epic mini YouTube series by a really cool/funny amateur film maker!” You guys are exactly correct.

Nick Taylor (aka ntbone) is a co-worker and friend of mine who (over some time) is going to blow the world away with his camera as a weapon. The Cough Syrup, first installment Nick Gets Sick, is a comedic short film about a man who wakes up feeling like poopy and unknowing ingests expired cough medicine. Though this film may only be a mere 6 minutes long. It takes you from the beginning to the end of the incident, with all the humor in between. Not to mention great cinematic techniques, and an overall professional approach at the entire film.

Enjoy…

SOPA/PIPA

So what's on the top of recent events? SOPA and PIPA. In case you don't know what these are, they are the Stop Online Piracy Act, and the Protect IP Act. These sound like some nice ways to stand up to the "criminals" of internet piracy. Right? Wrong!
These are two legislations that very well hold the power to change the internet as we know it. It's not the fact that they are anti-piracy that will ruin everything. It's mainly due to the way that these bills are written. They provide a broad range of powers for a broad range of infractions to a broad range on people.
Section 102(a)(2) permits the attorney general to take action against foreign sites (i.e., sites that do not fall under U.S. jurisdiction) if “the owner or operator of such Internet site is facilitating the commission of [copyright... infringement].” This doesn't state for THEFT but an copyright infringement.. which is EASY to break. Almost every daily website you visit has a form of copyright infringement. (any site with a comment box or picture upload) This bill turns us all into criminals. If it passes, then you either stop using the Internet, or you simply hope that you never end up in the crosshairs, because if you’re targeted, you will be destroyed by this bill.
But on the other hand. The government will never be able to suppress the internet. They may have the resources we don’t have, but not the willpower we do. We will just find new ways to get around their "censorship" and blockades. We will stand up and fight them until the end. If we can't be free on the internet, then we will make the outernet. The voice and heart of the American people is stronger than the white house can imagine. So even if these either or both of these bills pass. The internet will still thrive, it's up to us to make sure it does.

"But now we are faced with a new and troubling assault on our fiscal security, on our very economic life, and we are facing it from a thing called the Video Cassette Recorder" -- MPAA President Jack Valenti in 1982 In regards to the VCR.

Its Alive!!

So i have finally got my website up and running. I don’t know what to do now. Hell, I don’t even know the point of my website. I was just bored. But since I now “own” a blog. I guess I will use it.
I can talk about the great future ideas i have for my site. Like.. ummm… photoshopping funny pictures using my extreme sense of humor to spread joy and happiness to anyone who stumbles upon my site? Yeah, thats one thing I can do. But i can also just talk about what has gone on in my day. That IS the point. right?
So today Casey and I (for some odd reason) woke up at 8am. I say “for some odd reason.” But I like to think that it had something to do with a 2 ton dump truck attacking the dumpster that a whopping 3 meters from my window. It didn’t just do this once either. It came, backed up, pulled forward, backed up, pulled forward again, emptied the dumpster, then drove around the block and repeated the process on the now empty dumpster. Don’t ask. Following the dual attack of the dump truck was the parade of trash digging bums that follow it. In case you live somewhere rich, let me explain. Its a pack of unbathed and malnourished people with a “profession” of collecting bottles and cans. And the hobby of clinking them around my window, and rattling around on 1990’s shopping cart built and rebuilt with the worlds most rickety materials,. Making them very loud, and very annoying. Regardless of the rude awaking I had, I woke up, shook my hangover off, and started the day with a smile.

It Starts...

So.. I have never actually blogged before. But after extensive internet research I came to the conclusion that I can do it. After all, its just "a personal journal published on the world wide web consisting of discrete entries "posts" typically displayed in reverse chronological order so the most recent post appears first." -Wikipedia. Yes, I'm aware that typing blog in "Google" and clicking the Wiki link for it is not extensive research. Its strenuous enogh for me though, so dont judge me. I also realize that this is my first internet blog! On the first website I have ever created, so I should probably make it real cool and shit. But to be honest with you, I dont have the time. This is mainly just a website test to see how it will all turn out. So wish me luck, and maybe someday this site will turn into something. (HIGHLY DOUBTFUL)
